Then go see my friend Colleen at DANZAR, a new movement attire store located in Palencia.
Leotards, leg warmers, wraps and demi-pointes galore . . .

*Abella's is located just around the bend from Hyppo's Cafe, off of 312 and Tree Blvd.  Turn right onto Tree and follow the road around the bend to the right,  Abella's in the first wharehouse development where Tree deadends into Lakeside.  Go all the way to the back right of the development. Class Descriptions:

Barre Fitness:
Combining the best of ballet, yoga and Pilates, barre classes emphasize fluid movement and postural alignment to lengthen, strengthen and balance body and mind. Using the ballet barre for stability, dance inspired movements are intermixed with core conditioning and flexibility promoting postures to create a fun, flowing fitness experience that will leave you feeling refreshed and inspired. All levels welcome!

Ballet Classes:
are formatted in the traditional sense; barre and center exercises. Learn a little French, feel graceful, and take part in a classical form of movement that inspired kings and queens. By far, still the best work out I have ever done(and have been doing it a long time).  Ballet builds a strong body no doubt!

Pilates was developed almost 90 years ago by Joseph Pilates. The Pilates method works to develop core strength by aligning and strengthening the body as a whole from the center out, resulting in correct postural alignment and natural movement. Pilates increases your strength, flexibility, and coordination through these specific mind-body exercises.

Core Flow
Good things flow from a strong core. The abdominal region is the literal center of our balance and strength. Core flow is a creative conditioning class that integrates traditional Pilates mat techniques with other fun strength and flexibility exercises to stretch, strengthen, tone, and align the body while promoting healthy joint articulation and stability in the spine. The perfect complement to any yoga or mindful fitness practice.
Open to all levels.

What is Pilates?

"Pilates is a form of exercise, developed by Joseph Pilates, which emphasizes the balanced development of the body through core strength, flexibility, and awareness in order to support efficient, graceful movement" (
Pilates has been used for years in the dance community as a tool to enhance core strength and flexibility, while also building and maintaining long lean muscels. Any BODY can do Pilates, and everybody should.
Once you have the core awareness, flexibility and balance that Pilates brings, you will notice how your daily movement and health are improved. Pair it with the workout you are already doing and see how much better it gets!

Check out this amazing old video of Joseph Pilates and Romana practicing Pilates on the reformer and tower.
