My History with Movement

A dancer since the age of three, Jennifer finds it hard not to see the world through a ballet lens; Pilates is no exception. She finds that the two disciplines, ballet and Pilates, work beautifully and effectively with one another (a discovery that Joe made long ago). Jennifer has been teaching Pilates for nearly a decade and ballet for much longer.

Her history with dance is woven with many experiences, including work with the Southern Ballet Theater (now the Orlando Ballet), Limelight Theatre, St. Augustine Dancers Guild and the St. Augustine Ballet. She is also American Ballet Teacher certified in levels Pre-Primary to 3. She believes the practice of Pilates is an imperative component to any strong and controlled movement - especially dance. In addition to Pilates and dance, Jennifer is also a professor of Art History and Humanities at St. John River State College, and she enjoys creating educational tutus for her small company, TutuZazoo.
